Dear Soren, you removed the category from the TDS 5000 scopes category page.  I have reverted that change since it breaks the category hierarchy - every category page should be categorized to a parent category.  Which category that is can change of courseIn case a category should be entirely replaced and the original category remains unused, please let me knowThanks, --Peter (talk) 23:36, 9 June 2015 (PDT)
please leave the categories on the redirect pages - the category page shows the redirected ones in italics anyway, and that way the category listing is completesomeone may also want to turn the redirect into a real article laterthanks. --Peter (talk) 11:26, 13 June 2015 (PDT)

The TDS 5000 category had only one member, which I moved to the TDS scopes category. Category:TDS_5000_series_scopes should just be deleted, but I don't have the user permission.
The vast majority of A/B/rack variant redirect pages do not have a category tag, so I chose the path of least resistance so that it would be clear whether category listings contain real pages only or a mix of real pages and redirects. The main page had yet another - smaller - subset of redirects listed under each section heading. Such inconsistency makes maintenance difficult.

Hi Soren, why are you removing links to ROMs from pages like the 2247? I see you created your own page listing ROM images, but nothing links from the scope pages there, and the KO4BB links are still very useful IMO.

Regards, Peter (talk) 08:28, 30 April 2015 (PDT)

I removed individual links to external ROM dumps as and when I'd made sure I had them on the main ROM images page mostly just to help me keep track of the process.

There should be ways of making the existance of ROM images more obvious than by just having a single "EPROM" entry on the main page as now, but it is not yet clear to how it should be done. Possible ways include model page links to a corresponding sub-section on the ROM images page, individual Media: links to .bin files on the model pages and a simple "images present" tag/category on the model page. Suggestions are welcome.

Re the 468 page, you are right about the terse specs, but "GPIB optionplease add" doesn't look good.

Rack mount scopes category

please leave the categories on the redirect pages - the category page shows the redirected ones in italics anyway, and that way the category listing is complete. someone may also want to turn the redirect into a real article later. thanks. --Peter (talk) 11:26, 13 June 2015 (PDT)
