Inspection samples were used during production to show the correct mechanical assembly of the devices.
They show which parts are required and how they had to be assembled. In order to guarantee a uniform appearance, it was also specified, for example, how the cables had to run inside the devices.
In order to focus the eye on the important points, the circuit boards were not populated.
 
With the help of these examples even workers without deeper electronic knowledge were able to assemble the devices.
 
The 3 units shown below are from the Heerenveen factory. However, the labels for the serial numbers indicate that these samples were produced and previously used in Guernsey. Maybe they were transferred to Heerenveen during the changeover of the 7000 series production.
 
Some controls on the front of the units are locked. Other controls rotate freely, without mechanical resistance or stop.
