The Tektronix PG501 is a 50 MHz pulse generator plug-in for the TM500 system.
Specifications
The PG501 provides simultaneous positive and negative 50 MHz output pulses with 5 ns rise and fall times and independently variable amplitudes from 0.5 V to 5 V into 50 Ω. Front panel controls provide calibrated decade selection of pulse period from 20 ns to 20 ms, and duration from 10 ns to 10 ms. Uncalibrated pulse period from 20 ns to 0.2 s and duration from 10 ns to 0.1 s can be obtained with the variable control.
The PG501 has a gate input and a 10 ns pre-trigger output.
please add
Internals
The PG501 uses discrete transistors except for a single MC10105L ECL integrated circuit.
