The Tracor Northern TN-1705 is a pulse height analyzer.
It is intended to be used in a Tektronix [[5103N]] oscilloscope mainframe.
In at least one of its modes,
the TN-1705 takes a analog voltage pulse as its input,
digitizes the height of the pulse,
and increments a location in RAM corresponding to the pulse height.
This produces a pulse height histogram.
Photomultipliers are one of the intended input sources.
