The Tektronix Type 532 is a 5MHz oscilloscope introduced in 1955. From the manual, "It is specially engineered to get extra dependability through circuit simplicity and conservative tube loading." It accepts letter-series and 1-series plug-ins. P2 phosphor was standard for the 532. P1, P7, and P11 were optional at no charge. There is also a rack-mount version, the 532R. The 532 uses 475 watts and weighs 52 pounds.
Some differences between the 532 and 531:
- 532 has 5MHz vertical bandwidth; 531 has 11MHz.
- 532 has 8cm vertical deflection; 531 has 6cm.
- 532 CRT accelerating voltage is 4kV; 531 has 10kV.
