The Tektronix 016-0597-00 is a battery operated, manual trigger generator.
Each manual operation of the front-panel pushbutton produces a pulse of ~2 ms duration with fast rise and fall times.
It may be used to trigger pulse generators like PG501, PG505 or other equipment.
Output amplitude is 3 V into high impedance, or 1.5 V into 50 Ω.
Maintenance issues
The original 5.6 V mercury battery may be replaced by a 6 V alkaline battery, a NiMH rechargeable battery pack, or 2 lithium cells for a 6 V supply voltage.
