UTek (sometimes written "uTek") was Tek's version of Unix. It was based on 4.2 BSD but later introduced features of System V Unix. It was shipped with workstations such as the 6130. John Light was one of the kernel developers working on UTek.

UTek was created by the 6200 team and inherited by the 4320 team.

UTek was built by Mike Zuhl (kernel), Brad Needham, and others on networking.
