The Tektronix 017-0030-00 Insertion Unit is a tubular housing with GR-874 connectors on each end. The central housing has cutouts on the sides that allow custom components to be installed between the ends of the two central conductors and the housing. A tubular sleeve slides over the completed assembly and is held in place by a single screw.
It appears to be almost identical to the General Radio GR-874X. The construction of the General Radio 1000-P1 is much the same.
