It would be interesting to add information which versions contain a spoiler switch hole? My suspicion is that they exist for 1M1s but I cannot confirm at the moment. Gregor

My understanding is that some of the the older letter-series had clean impulse response in older/slower mainframes, but in a later/faster mainframes they would exhibit overshoot with a fast input pulse, without the spoiler present/activated. I don't know if it was due to peaked magnitude response or nonlinear phase response. It would be fun to measure this. Anyway, a plug-in/scope is supposed to be free of overshoot even when the input pulse has spectral components way above the claimed bandwidth of the system. I think Tek wanted to ensure that is is true for any combination of plug-in and mainframe that a user might pair. Kurt (talk) 04:08, 15 May 2020 (PDT)
