3A8/Repairs
I bought this 3A8 via ebay and it was in pretty bad condition. The basic cosmetics were good, but it had the following problems:
1) One red front panel knob was missing. I found a replacement.
2) One hold-down strap for the pair of Nuvistors was missing. I made a replacement.
3) One resistor cut out of one opamp board. I bought a suitable replacement.
4) The rear connector was gone. I found a replacement and installed it.
5) Whoever took the rear connector, ripped out the wiring harness. I repaired and extended the rear 1/4 of that harness.
6) One of the T-coil windings had been destroyed. I bought AWG 40 magnet wire and rewound it.
7) Of course everything was dirty, so I cleaned and removed stickers.
