The Tektronix 7A16 is a single channel, 150 MHz general-purpose vertical amplifier for 7000-series scopes. It was designed by Jim Woo. The 7A16 was introduced in 1969 and superseded by the bandwidth enhanced 7A16A in 1973. The 7A16P is GPIB-programmable variant for digitizing mainframes.

Key Specifications

Bandwidth 0 – 150 MHz (DC), 10 Hz – 150 MHz (AC)
Deflection 5 mV/Div to 5 V/Div in 1–2–5 sequence
Input impedance 1 MΩ // 15 pF
Features
  • 20 MHz bandwidth limit switch
  • Invert switch
  • Probe multiplier / Identify switch sensing input

Internals

The 7A16 uses discrete transistors, no integrated circuits.
