Template:Plugin Sidebar 2

The Tektronix 7M11 is a plug-in which contains two independent 50 Ω analog delay lines with 75 ns each. Rise time is specified as 175 ps maximum, and attenuation is fixed at 2:1.

A separate trigger output is available to eliminate an external power splitter. Signal through the trigger pick-off output is attenuated by a factor of five. Delay line connections are 50 Ω GR-874, trigger pickoff is through a BNC connector at 5:1 attenuation (line 1 or 2 switch selectable).

The maximum signal allowed is +/- 5V. The mass of the 7M11 about 2.5 kg (5.5 lb), so be careful when sliding it into the slot. (Generally, Tektronix specifies not to ship mainframes with inserted plug-ins, to protect the bus connectors!)

Because it is completely passive and has no bus contacts, the 7M11 can be operated outside of the mainframe on the desk, freeing a slot for another plug-in.
