The CRT was manufactured by Tektronix, on the 18th week of 1994. It was used in the SCD-5000 broadband digitizer. This device have a bandwidth up to 4.5 GHz when the signal was applied directly to the input of the tube, and it allowed to get a picture with a resolution of 1024 pixels horizontally, with a bit width of 11 bits vertically. Somewhere on the Internet I came across an article in which some talents describe the "acceleration" of this digitizer bandwidth right up to 15 GHz (!!!).
The overall dimensions of this tube are identical to 154-0698-00 CRT. The diameter of the electromagnetic sleeve is also 71mm. The tube design as a whole is exactly the same. The focusing system of reading gun is almost identical to 154-0698-00, but more about this on next photos. Outwardly only the release date of the FS is different - 14 week of 1982. The tubes themselves generally differ from each other only by the deflecting system along the "Y" axis. Moreover, despite the fact that the CRT 154-0949-01 was developed, at least in the late 1970s - the inscription "© 1972 TektronixINC" that was still on 154-0698-00 moved to it.
Unfortunately, this CRT is caked. It's sad, of course - but, on the other hand, if it is not rejected in the device, I could not get it at the price of scrap metal.
