He was the Howard Vollum Award winner in 1994 (→ TekWeek article):

Chuck's influence was a key factor in beginning projects which resulted in the TLS216 and the TDS600 series.

Moreover, approximately 100 Chuck-inspired and -designed chips have provided a competitive and performance advantage in a number of company products, including oscilloscopes, color printers, logic analyzers, and TV and Grass Valley Group products.
