David Yukio Takagishi (b. 1939-10-20 in Placer County, California, USA – d. 1998-11-12 in Sunnyvale, Santa Clara County, California, USA) graduated from the San Jose City College in the early 60s and worked for Fairchild Semiconductor for four years before joining Cintra in 1968. He became a Tek man in May, 1971, when Tektronix bought the Cintra assets. Dave was one of the original 10 people responsible for development of the Scientist 909. He was involved with design and implementation of the calculator from pre-breadboard through its production phase. On leaving Tek, Dave went on to work for Siemens Optoelectronics. His interests outside of calculators included golf and photography.
