An EPROM image for Tek 1240 logic analyzer
160-1583-00 U318 V1.0 The display card char generator. Intel 2716 2KB There's no copy at tekwiki. EPROM is soldered into the PCB, which probably is why. I unsoldered mine, read it, soldered back in.
When I try to upload as .bin, I get warning: File extension ".bin" does not match the detected MIME type of the file (image/vnd.wap.wbmp). Maybe because it is a series of 8x8 character bitmaps? Anyway, uploaded as a zip containing the .bin file. It compressed a LOT, due to large end block of FFs.
I tried uploading it also and I get the same error. Anyone have an idea what the problem is? (Floopy)
- It's a false detection by the PHP built-in MIME auto-detect routine - apparently this file contains the magic bytes they use to detect WBMP files. I added .bin as an alternative WBMP extension in includes/libs/mime/mime.types and this made MediaWiki accept the file, although the wrong MIME type is still recorded in the database (without consequences as far as I can see). Other .bin files still upload as unknown MIME types, so this should be a safe change. Nobody uses WBMP files anyway ... --Peter (talk) 03:54, 5 April 2019 (PDT)
