Peter: I note your edit in which you lowerecased "disassembly probe". I uppercased it ("Disassembly Probe") because it represents the part number prefix i.e. Disassembly Probe 8031 DIP. I'm not going to argue the point, just point out that it's consistent with my style guide. You can see that I did the same thing with the 1230DPA. --Jonathan (talk) 19:37, 25 May 2025 (PDT)

- Yes, I'm aware of that. Coming ASAP. --Jonathan (talk) 07:05, 15 June 2025 (PDT)
- I continue to find photo orientation (rotation) confounding when taken with an iphone. Will try to correct these. --Jonathan (talk) 08:14, 15 June 2025 (PDT)
- What I do in such cases is to save it with IrfanView with the "reset EXIF orientation" flag set. I also use this to remove private EXIF data (GPS location). --Peter (talk) 05:09, 16 June 2025 (PDT)
- Thanks - I just installed it. Oh, I see it now in the "save as" options. I'll play with it. --Jonathan (talk) 06:27, 16 June 2025 (PDT)
- Peter: Thanks again for the pointer to IrfanView. I've always used ACDSee under windoze because it still has the best "gallery" function of any comparable image tool, regardless of OS. But afaIk it doesn't allow for reseting the EXIF data like this. IrfanView works a treat, and it lets me clear that data and establish the desired orientation in a single step. I've been going back to my original photo uploads, reorienting them, and renaming them in keeping with the local standard. --Jonathan (talk) 09:35, 18 June 2025 (PDT)
