The Tektronix 2232 is a 100 MHz digital + analog scope with a dual time base. It effectively replaced the 2230 in 1990.
Improvements over the 2230 included quintupled sample rate (100 MS/s), graticule illumination, trigger level readout, 20 MHz bandwidth limiting available in DSO mode, NVRAM to store the configuration, "smooth" mode when using peak detection, a faster CPU, and a more modern user interface making use of five function keys under the CRT.
