The Tektronix S-53 Trigger Recognizer is essentially the entire trigger circuit of an oscilloscope. It is rated to 1GHz and has a BNC input with 50-ohm impedance. It uses tunnel diode triggering with an amplifier before the tunnel diode. The input signal to trigger out jitter is rated at 15ps or less. The trigger-out signal is 1V into 50 ohms, with 600mV/ns slew rate.
