The Tektronix DSA 601 and DSA 602 are digital scopes with waveform processing capabilities. They were made from the late 1980's to the mid 1990's. They are 11000-series scopes and accept up to three 11000-series plug-ins. The display is a touchscreen. The CRT is a conventional magnetic deflection color computer monitor and operates at 552x704 resolution. The touchscreen sensor is a grid of infrared beams, nothing mechanical. The digitizers in the DSA 601 and DSA 602 have a maximum rate of 500Msamp/sec. The DSA 601 has two such digitizers and the DSA 602 has four. The digitizers can be used independently or can be ganged together in interleaved mode for higher sample rates. Interleaving gives the DSA 601 a maximum sample rate of 1Gsamp/sec and the DSA 602 a maximum sample rate of 2Gsamp/sec. Both have IEEE-488 (GPIB) and RS232 interfaces for remote control and waveform export. Both have 8-bit vertical resolution. There are "A" models that have a floppy drive for waveform storage.
