The Tektronix Type 5T1 is a timing plug-in for the 661 sampling oscilloscope.
It generates timing pulses which are sent to the sampling plug-in (4S1, 4S2, or 4S3). It was replaced by the 5T1A.
The 040-311 modification kit (see photo below) converted a 5T1 to "nearly" a 5T1A.
The 040-332 modification kit adds an isolation transistor to the external trigger input, to prevent kickout. This modification kit applies to 5T1 serial numbers 101 to 493. Starting with serial number 494, the external trigger isolation transistor was standard.
