The RSA3308B is a portable Real-time Spectrum Analyzer (RSA) meant for lab or production line use with a frequency range of DC to 8 GHz is capable of capturing continuous, intermittent, or random signals. With Digital phosphor spectrum processing (DPX) this RSA provides the user the ability to view time-varying RF signals with color-graded displays based on frequency. For offline spectral analysis users can install the RSAVu Real-Time Spectrum Analyzer Software on their PC and offload .iqt and .tiq waveform data files to it.

The RSA’s has a 8.4 inch TFT color display, a 20 GB hard drive, and a diskette drive (either a 3.5-inch 2HD (1.44 MB) or 2DD (720 KB)) to save and load data and settings.

This RSA is capable of performing spectrum analysis of power, ACPR, C/N, OBW, EBW, and spurious signals. Analog modulation analysis is possible with AM, PM, FM, ASK, and FSK signals. Additionally, this RSA can perform digital modulation analysis from BPSK to 256QAM (with option 21 of the RSAVu software), time characteristics analysis including pulse measurements, constellation analysis, EVM analysis, AM/AM and AM/PM distortion analysis, RFID analysis, signal source analysis, and CCDF analysis.

Front panel inputs/outputs are: RF IN N connector (50Ω, +30 dBm max); PreAmp Pwr Lemo Connector (Preamp power connector.

Rear panel inputs/outputs: REF OUT/IN BNC connectors (50Ω); I+/I- INPUT BNC connectors (50Ω, when using one connector as a single-ended input terminate the other end in 50Ω, Opt. 03 only); Q+/Q- INPUT BNC connectors (50Ω, when using one connector as a single-ended input terminate the other end in 50Ω, Opt. 03 only); TRIG OUT/IN BNC connectors (50Ω); GPIB GPIB connector (); and US Power Plug (115 V nominal) .

Side panel inputs/outputs: LAN Ethernet connector (10/100BASE-T), VGA Connector, and 2 X USB connectors (USB 1.1).
