3026
The Sony/Tektronix 3026 is a portable real time spectrum analyzer with a frequency range of 10 MHz to 3 GHz. The incorporated 3 GHz down converter enables performing spectrum analysis, time domain analysis, and analog modulation analysis of Radio Frequency (RF) signals without connecting any external devices. The 3026 can acquire time and frequency domain data simultaneously. It can also capture various kinds of signals with a wide variety of triggering functions.
Real-time trigger functions in frequency domain allow triggering on instantaneous events such as the starting point of a burst signal. Trigger functions include Mask pattern trigger, Level trigger, and External trigger. Using the trigger functions in time domain, triggering is available on impulse noises which are barely captured in frequency domain.
In addition, the 3026 provides measurement functions that can evaluate the performance of radio devices with simple operation. Moreover, four types of data display functions offered in the system (Spectrum, Spectrogram, Waterfall, and Analog demodulation of AM, PM, FM, and FSK) allows analysis of the acquired data more precisely.

Notes
1998 year of introduction was confirmed by Dave Brown (VintageTek Museum) with Sony-Tek Product Planner, Koichi Sega. The 3026 was first listed in the Tek Catalog in 2000, after Tek's relationship with Advantest Corporation ended in 1999.
