Many Tektronix instruments provide power for active probes. There have been several distinct versions of probe power.

First Generation

The first Tektronix instrument to provide probe power was the 513. It provides +225VDC, +6.3VDC, and a variable supply producing +15VDC to +150VDC.

Second Generation

The 517 and 128 provide +120VDC and +6.3VDC.

Third Generation

The 3S1 provides +100VDC and -12.2VDC.

Fourth Generation

7000-series scopes provide +15VDC, +5VDC, and -15VDC.

Fifth Generation

TekProbe is a proprietary probe-scope interface that combines signal and probe power and provides the scope with information about the what type of probe is connected.
