The Tektronix 4956 is graphics input tablet compatible with the 4000 Series, 4010 Series, 4023 terminals and the 4050-series computers. A small controller box connects the tablet/stylus/cursor combination to a terminal or computer. The 4956 appears to have been OEMed from Summagraphics.

The model number 4956 is used for 2 different size tablets, 20" x 20" and 36" x 48" (Option 33).

Input is made with either a wired 4 button cursor or stylus.
