Kurt, when I see you and others make changes and it appears to just be separating sentences (left side view shows a paragraph, and the right side view appears to be separate sentences) but on the finished wiki page it doesn't show what you've done I'm not sure what it is you've done. Please explain the change and what I should do differently so you don't have to spend time correcting what I've done. I don't have a problem with whatever you're doing but wonder how I can change how I compose a page to meet your expectations. --Jyohe (talk) 19:23, 16 July 2019 (PDT)

I prefer to break up lines of markup (i.e., hitting the the "enter" or "return" key, thereby inserting a newline character into the markup). It is just a preference for editing. It has no effect on what is shown when somebody views the wiki page. The rules I use (not rigidly) are:

  • Avoid long lines of markup.
  • Break lines at logical boundaries: sentences, phrases, etc.
  • Put just one idea/fact on each line.

Some people like to break lines, some don't. Either way is fine. Kurt (talk) 06:45, 17 July 2019 (PDT)
