The Tektronix 2722A Cable TV Sweep Receiver is the receiving end of a CATV sweep system, the 2721A sweep transmitter is the corresponding transmitter.

The 2721A is installed at the CATV head end and set up for the CATV system's specific channel configuration (within a 5-600 MHz range). Once installed and set up, the 2721A continuously sweeps RF test pulses through the selected channel configuration, which are injected during the cable signal's vertical blanking interval to avoid interference with or interruption of subscriber service.
