The 5842 aka CK5842 aka 417A  (P/N 154-0408-00,157-0098-00;) is a high-gm UHF triode vacuum tube with a B9A (Noval) miniature 9-pin base.

It is used in low serial number instances of the 2A61, in the front-end differential amplifier.
