The Tektronix 067-0146-00 is a character generator plug-in for the TM500 system.
It provides video test signals for the calibration of a multi-rate raster display monitor such as the GMA201.
The generator provides a character pattern, a grid pattern, a dense dot pattern, or a white field. Any one of 128 characters can be obtained by proper settings of the front panel controls. A grid display of 9 lines vertically and 7 lines horizontally is available.
Output is 50 Ω reverse terminated, and, when connected to a 50 Ω system produces 0 V for black level and +1 V for white. Characters are displayed at a 240 MHz pixel rate.
