The Tektronix 1742 is a PAL-M waveform monitor/vectorscope for composite and component television signals. The NTSC version is the 1740, the 1741 covers PAL, and the 1745 is the dual-standard NTSC/PAL unit.
The 1740/1741/1742/1745 models are the baseline members of the 17xx family, the 1750/1751/1755 add SCH and Color Framing Display functions, and the 1760/1761/1765 add Component Vector, Lightning, Diamond, and Bowtie displays on top of the 175x features.
