The Pulse Instruments PI-702 is a dual bipolar bias supply plug-in for the TM500 system.
It is a single-width plug-in for Tektronix TM500-series power mainframes providing three DC outputs − one fixed 5 V / 0.5 A, and two that can be varied from −25 V to +25 V each and can source or sink 50 mA.
The voltages can be controlled by front-panel knobs, which include coarse and fine voltage controls, by an external control voltage, or by a digital signal sent to the PI-702 via the TM500 mainframe interconnect bus.
When the PI-702 is controlled by a digital signal (DAC mode), it uses two Burr-Brown DAC80-CBI-I 12-bit current-output D/A converters.
