The Tektronix 1461 is an Insertion Test Signal Generator Deleter / Inserter for 625/50 PAL television systems. It is capable of inserting either or both of two internally generated insertion test signals that can be individually programmed to any line within the vertical interval.
In the event of power failure, actuation of a remote bypass switch, or removal of the 1461 from the rack, a relay switch in the Interface will re-route the program signal, maintaining program line continuity with unchanged signal delay.
