The Tektronix 8001/8002/8002A are microprocessor development systems from the late 70s/early 80s. The 8000 MDL Series Microprocessor Labs are intended for complete hardware microcode debugging for products incorporating popular microprocessors of the era. Three emulation modes were available for various steps of product development.
8001 model were only configurable for one microprocessor at a time by removal/installation of cards/interfaces. The 8002/8002A models were capable of supporting more than one microprocessor without the need for re-configuration.
