On inspection of a pristine 1503C, I found two faults and two waiting to happen.
On inspection of a pristine 1503C, I found two faults:
* LCD "bleeding". I'll investigate further - I fear "rot" but it's not showing in the panel when switched off.

* Crumbling compliant plastic in the sealed power transfer plug/socket on the rear of the case.

...the two faults waiting to happen were simply the batteries. The SLA and Lithium cells were as installed in 1992.
