The Tektronix 4958 is a large format graphics input tablet compatible with the 4110 Series, 4120 Series and 4200 Series terminals using an RS-232 connection.

The 4958 has a higher coordinate resolution compared to the 4957 model tablets, at up to 1000 points-per-inch and 0.010 inch accuracy.

Input is made with either a 4- or 16-button cursor or optional stylus. The model number 4958 is used for 3 different size tablets:

  • 17" x 24" (option 3)
  • 36" x 48" (option 5)
  • 44" x 60" (option 6)

An optional base/pedestal 4900H01 was available to make the tablet free standing.
