The Tektronix PS502 is a dual tracking power supply plug-in for the TM500 system.

Key Specifications

Output voltage ±10−20 V, floating; 5 V, ground referenced
Current limit 400 mA fixed on variable output; 1 A fixed on +5 V
Ripple and noise <3 mVp-p or <1 mVRMS on variable output; <5 mVp-p or <100 μVRMS on 5 V

Rear interface

  • A24, B24 Reference Common
  • A23 +Sense, B23 –Sense
  • A22 +Output, B22 –Output

Internals

The PS502 is built around a Silicon General SG3501 dual tracking regulator in a standard application circuit, using the mainframe transistors as external pass elements.
