It is intended for use with transducers and for that purpose it has a DC-coupled differential input and a variable voltage supply for powering the transducer. It also has a 6-pin input connector ([[Bendix connector|Bendix MS3101A-10-6S]]) to directly connect to the [[015-0169-00|015-0169-00 Strain Gage Adapter]].


The 3A10 circuit is partially based on the [[1A7A]]'s.
