NE-2
(Redirected from 150-002)

The NE-2 (P/N 150-002,150-0002-00,150-009,150-0009-00) is a Neon lamp tube. In tube-era Tek instruments, it is sometimes used as an indicator, but also for DC bias shifting, like a zener diode in later generations.
Tek part number 150-0002-00 (150-002) was sourced from Chicago Miniature Lamp Works and the manufacturer part number was "NE-2T(T2)".
Tek part number 150-0009-00 is selected from 150-0002-00 for 55 ±2.5 V operating voltage after 24 hour burn-in at 100 V DC with a 180 kΩ series resistor. The bulb has a red dot near the lead which was connected to the positive voltage while aging.
