Delbert Earl Wantland (b. 1931-07-02 in Myrtle Point, OR – d. 2024-10-24) joined Tek on March 24, 1955.
In 1958, he moved to Guernsey, Channel Islands and later to the Netherlands to assist in the building of Tektronix' European manufacturing facilities. He returned to Portland in 1963.
He was named Tektronix Executive Vice President in February 1969 and in October 1971 the Board of Directors elected him President. In October of 1974, he also succeeded Howard Vollum as the CEO of the company.
Wantland retired in 1988.
