The Tektronix 5A38 is a 35 MHz dual-channel vertical plug-in for 5400-series scopes (not compatible with 5100 series mainframes). It is specified to have a 10 ns risetime.

The 5A38 uses a 60 mA incandescent lamp for input protection. The channel switching amplifier, U250, is a 155-0022-00. Other than U250, the 5A38 is all discrete, no chips.
