he Tektronix SD-48 is a 30 GHz optical / electrical converter head for 11800-series mainframes. It accepts 950-1650 nm wavelength inputs.
Signal input is through an FC/PC connector, electrical output through a 2.92 mm connector for connecting to the input of an SD-32 sampling head installed in the slot immediately to the left of the SD-48, using a semi-rigid link cable originally included with the converter.
