The Tektronix 2707 is an external tracking generator for use with 2711, 2712, 2714, and 2715 spectrum analyzers equipped with factory Option 15, which provides a rear panel SMA-F and a female DB15 (three-row, 15-pin) connector, using a single LO coax cable and one 15-pin interconnection control cable.
2711s, 2712s, and 2714s ordered without Option 07 or Option 15 have a female DB9 nine pin rear panel connector and will not work with the 2707. In the 2715, Tektronix replaced the DB9 with a female DE15, but these instruments do not have the SMA-F connector unless Opt. 15 is installed.
2707 External Tracking Generators with Option 01 have a 75 Ω output for use with 2714 and 2715 75 Ω analyzers.
