Rohde & Schwarz

Rohde & Schwarz (→ WikiData) is a German company specializing in test equipment, broadcasting and radio communications equipment.

R&S was founded in 1932 by Lothar Rohde and Hermann Schwarz, who had met while studying physics in Jena.

The company, headquartered in Munich, Germany, is still family-owned today, with around 9800 employees in over 70 countries.

R&S had a long-standing cross-distribution agreement with Tektronix. They also provided calibration and repair services for Tek equipment in Europe.

R&S may also have manufactured some equipment for Tektronix, see 1A1.
