The Tektronix S-3001 is an early automated test system. It contains:

  • a paper tape reader,
  • a Type 262 Programmer
  • a rack-mount Type 567 with special plug-is for automated measurement systems so that there are no cables on the front of the rack:
    • the S-311 vertical plug-in
    • the S-300 sampling sweep plug-in
  • most likely programmable DC supplies,
  • an S-320 Programmable Pulse Generator and Power Supply,
  • a Datapulse 106A pulse generator

It appears that the S-3001 evolved into a transitional S-3101 prototype system, which was still using the 567, and then into the S-3100 series, which used the 568. The 262 was introduced in 1963 and the 568 and 230 weren't introduced until 1967. During those four years, Tek's automated measurement systems made use of the 567.
