Ah - I see now (from the 7000 Series plug-in interface page) what the sketchy formatting was for - a block of bullet points to the right of the connection table. I want to reverse the order of those two tables (7000 and 5000) so that they map readily to the physical view - I'll experiment with collapsible elements for signal desciptions in a sandbox page... Not sure I get what you mean by "map readily to the physical view" - the 7000 Series plug-in interface page shows the interface as you look into the mainframe, which is to me the simplest arrangement as it also naturally keeps "A" on the left of "B". 2600 and 11000 are still this way. The 5000 interface is reversed now which I do not find logical and do not like at all. I see you did the same thing for the TM500 Series plug-in interface - it would at least have been polite to ask before turning everything upside down ... --Peter (talk) 15:06, 13 August 2023 (PDT)

> Not sure I get what you mean by "map readily to the physical view"
I simply had to choose and the most recent pages I'd been reading were the TM500 Series plug-in interface and other articles so I chose that orientation.

Yes - I agree - I prefer that orientation.

OK - no problem. I absolutely detested it when it was the wrong way up!

No! :-)
I haven't changed the TM500 Series plug-in interface page.

I was rationalising - the big change for me was getting the 5000 page the right way up (ie 1 at the bottom).

I'd be happy to change both the TM500 Series plug-in interface and this 5000 Series plug-in interface page to match the 7000 Series plug-in interface orientation. I used a scriptlet to do it in Bash - since then, I've found a really useful wikitable tool which can transform/transpose/pivot and will try that, too. Qfissler (talk) 18:21, 13 August 2023 (PDT)
