The Intel 2102  (P/N 156-0291-00) is a 1K×1 static RAM monolithic integrated circuit in a 16-pin DIP, introduced in 1972.

It is an NMOS part requiring a single +5 V supply.

It has separate data input and output pins. Access time is 500 ns. Faster versions were produced later, and other manufacturers second-sourced the part.

Used in

Some instruments using part Intel 2102

Instrument Manufacturer Class Model Description Introduced
833 Tektronix Logic Analyzer 833 Programmable data communications tester 1980
DF1 Tektronix Plug-in DF1 display formatter 1976
DF2 Tektronix Plug-in DF2 display formatter 1978
Nicolet 526 Nicolet Digital 526 Signal averager 1976
P7001 Tektronix Oscilloscope P7001 Digitizer for the 7704A oscilloscope 1973

Note

Apparently, Intel used production lot numbers on their chips until 1975/1976 before switching to the usual year/week date codes.
