The Tektronix 1340 Data Coupler is a mainframe that can be equipped with various interface packages to connect computers (DEC PDP-11, DEC PDP-8/L, generic ASCII) to pre-GPIB progammable devices (3S5, 3S6, 3T5, 3T6, R1140A, R230, R240).
There are also interfaces for data logging to paper tape, data acquisition cards, and generic external units.
