The Tektronix SD-48 is a 30 GHz optical / electrical converter head for 11800-series mainframes. It accepts 950-1650 nm wavelength inputs through an FC/PC connector and outputs an electrical signal through a 2.92 mm connector for connecting to the input of an SD-30 (or SD-32 using an 2.4mm adapter) sampling head installed in the slot immediately to the left of the SD-48 through a semi-rigid cable originally included with the converter.

Key Specifications

Bandwidth 30 GHz
Rise time 15 ps
Optical wavelength 1000-1650 nm
Conversion factor 15 mV/mW
