PG509
The Tektronix PG509 is a 350 ps rise-time pulse generator plug-in for the TM500 system.
It is intended for use as a stimulus for making measurements and produces a fixed-amplitude rectangular positive pulse waveform.
The amplitude control and pulse inhibit inputs at the front are designed to interface an AT5010 GPIB controlled attenuator, creating a GPIB-controlled variable amplitude pulse generator.

Internals
The PG509 uses an avalanche transistor and charge line to generate the fast-rising output pulse. A voltage doubler fed by two series-connected 25 V mainframe windings provides +150 V for the avalanche stage.
Rear Interface
- A15 − Amplitude control
- B15 − Pulse inhibit
