Hickok Electrical Instrument Co. is an electronics company founded in 1910 by Robert D. Hickok Sr. in Cleveland, OH. They are still in business but nowadays are mainly active in the automotive test equipment area.

From 1959 until the late 1960s, Hickok and other companies (Lavoie Laboratories, Jetronic Industries) produced unauthorized copies of Tektronix equipment under military contracts.

Tektronix sued the US government and Hickok in February 1961. The action was not settled (in their favour) until May 1970, with final payment made only in early 1979 at just over $4 million.
